Crossroad – VSA and ABS ceased to function and warning light on

Check the lot number of the hydraulic control unit (modulator) of the VSA

Description of defect

In the hydraulic control unit (modulator) of the vehicle behaviour stabilisation control system (VSA), the combination of the commutator material and brush material of the motor that generates high hydraulic pressure is incorrect, resulting in some brushes cracking and increasing in size. As a result, the brushes stick to the brush holder, the motor stops working, the VSA and anti-lock braking system (ABS) stop functioning and the warning light comes on. In addition, for vehicles equipped with Inter-Highway Cruise Control (IHCC) and Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), the IHCC and CMBS will also stop functioning and the warning light will illuminate.
