CR-V – Difficult to start the engine

ECU update and replace starter motor with a new one

RM1,RW1,RW1,RW2,RD4,RD5,

Details of the problem

If the engine control computer (ECU) is improperly programmed, if you start the engine with a degraded battery, cranking may stop momentarily and excessive force may be applied to the starter motor’s clutch roller, causing it to become deformed. As a result, the rotation of the starter motor cannot be transmitted to the pinion gear when starting, making it difficult to start the engine, and if you continue to use it as is, you may not be able to start the engine.

Details of improvement

The engine control computer will be rewritten with a countermeasure program, and the starter motor will be replaced with a new one.
