Delica – Strange noise

Replace the torque converter housing with a countermeasure and replace the drive plate with a new one

Description of defect

In torque converters for automatic transmissions, some of the alignment holes in the converter housing are not properly machined, resulting in misalignment between the housing and the transmission case. If the vehicle is driven in this condition, cracks may appear in this area and abnormal noise may be generated. Even after the noise is generated, it is possible to run a considerable distance before it becomes impossible to run.

Improvement details

Replace the torque converter housing with a countermeasure and replace the drive plate with a new one.
