Description of Defect
Mitsubishi Pajero – Torque Converter Bolt Defect
Some bolts fastening the torque converter to the drive plate in the automatic transmission may loosen at high engine speeds due to an inappropriate tightening torque specification. If use is continued, in the worst case, the bolt may fall out of the torque converter housing, resulting in abnormal noise while driving.
Improvement Details
Tighten the relevant bolts to the newly specified tightening torque. If the bolt is loose, replace it with a new one.
