Accord – The headlamp lenses fog up

Improper construction of the joint between the lens and housing of halogen bulb type headlamps

Description of the defect

Due to an inappropriate structure of the lens and housing joint of halogen bulb type headlamps, the rubber seal on the bonnet may press against the lens, causing the sealant of the joint to partially peel off. As a result, water may enter the headlamps in the event of rain, etc., and the inside of the headlamp lenses may fog up if there is a large temperature difference between the outside air and the inside of the headlamps.

Improvement details

Add a stop fitting to the headlamp lens and housing joint.
