Delica – Airflow noise and engine malfunction

Replace the intake manifold with a countermeasure

Description of defect

Due to an inadequate plug fixing method for plugging the casting holes in the intake manifold of some diesel engines, the heat from the EGR gas may cause thermal deformation of the casting holes and the plug may lose its holding power.
If the plug continues to be used as it is, there is a risk that the plug may fall out, causing an airflow noise and engine malfunction.

Improvement details

Crimp and secure the plug concerned.
If the plug is loose or missing, replace the intake manifold with a countermeasure.
