Galant – Engine ECU Update to Address Engine Speed Issues
Due to a part of the ignition timing and fuel injection control programme being inappropriate in the prime mover control computer (engine ECU), if the prime mover is subjected to load fluctuations such as when the air conditioner is operating in D-range idle, power steering operation or starting the engine, the engine rotation will temporarily drop and in rare cases the engine will stop. The engine may stop in rare cases.
Improvement Details
Update the control programme of the engine ECU to countermeasures.
