Replace the O-ring
Description of defect
In the power transmission system, some O-rings in the transfer unit that transmits power from the transmission to the rear wheels are poorly assembled (twisted, scratched, etc.), which may cause oil seepage. However, even if oil seepage occurs, there is enough oil in the oil filler to detect it during a legal inspection, and there is no possibility of seizure due to insufficient oil.
(There have been cases where the amount of oil in the transfer has decreased in vehicles that have been used for a long time without inspection and maintenance, leading to seizure, so this is carried out as a precaution).
Improvement details
Inspect the oil quantity and oil seepage, and if any irregularities are detected, replace the O-rings and apply additional FIPG (liquid gasket) as a precaution.
