Lancer Cedia – Warning light on and engine rpm is restricted
In the accelerator position sensor (APS) of the prime mover, grease was mistakenly applied when the sensor was assembled, and during the process of use, part of the components of this grease formed silicon dioxide on the resistive film surface, resulting in abnormal contact resistance of the sliding parts. The warning light will illuminate and the engine rotation will be restricted.
Improvement Details
Replace the APS with a countermeasure.
