Description of Defect
In diesel engine vehicles, the incorrect position of the pressure outlet nipple for the pressure sensor in the inlet manifold may cause soot to accumulate on the nipple, making correct pressure measurement impossible. This may activate the fault determination logic, cause the warning light to illuminate and may result in a fail-safe limiting the engine output.
Improvement Details
Replace the inlet manifold with a countermeasure. In addition, the engine control programme is rewritten to countermeasure specifications.
