Odyssey – Strange noises
Some hydraulic auto-tensioners, which maintain the tension of the engine’s timing belt, were installed in engines with damaged seal rings during manufacture, resulting in leakage of silicon oil inside the auto-tensioner and weakening of the damping force. As a result, the timing belt may shake, causing abnormal noise.
Improvement Details
Replace the auto tensioner with a new one.
