Recommended Repairs with This Kit
- Allows for cleaning and inspection of internal components during disassembly.
- Restores internal seals to help maintain proper steering performance and reduce leaks, noise, and heavy steering effort.
Cylinder End Cover Assembly
When removing the cylinder end cover assembly, it is necessary to drill out the staked portion at the end of the gear housing using a 3.0 mm drill bit.
If the staking is not completely removed, the threads of the cylinder end cover may be damaged during removal. For this reason, a spare cylinder end cover assembly is included in this repair kit.

Important Notice
- Please be advised that the bearing for the steering pinion is not available as a separate part. Therefore, if replacement is necessary, the steering pinion assembly will need to be replaced as a complete unit.
- Some internal rack components are discontinued. If internal wear or damage is found, this repair kit cannot address those issues.
- In particular, the rear housing bearing seal is not available as an individual service part.
If the bearing or seal is damaged, replacement of the rear housing assembly is required, however this assembly has been discontinued.
How to Check Compatibility
If you do not know the part number, please provide your vehicle’s chassis number, and we will help verify the compatible parts for your car.
